Let’s gather together on this Earth Day to watch a special Earth Day panel discussion with RFK Jr, Nicole Shanahan, food sovereignty advocate and author Vandana Shiva, philosopher Charles Eisenstein and co-founder of the non-profit Kiss the Ground Ryland Engelhart. We’ll be watching it live on Zoom.
PLEASE STOP BY even if you can’t stay for the full event if you’d like to sign a petition to get Bobby on the ballot, pick up a yard sign or bumper sticker, or a Friends & Family Plan Ballot Access petition kit to collect signatures from people you know. Those who already have kits can bring back signed petitions and forms too. We hope to have a good signature count after our first week of collecting! Doors will open at 2:30pm for those who want to stop by for these items.
Here’s the event description:
Kennedy has stated that he aspires to be the strongest environmental President since Teddy Roosevelt. He has long been one of the nation’s most influential environmentalists, bringing hundreds of lawsuits against corporate polluters and government agencies. He co-founded the Waterkeeper Alliance, the world's largest water-protection nonprofit that protects 2.7 million miles of waterways in the U.S. and 46 other countries.
Shanahan has spent much of her career focused on the health of people and planet. She’s committed to regenerative agriculture and promoting soil health. She is the executive producer of the groundbreaking 2020 film “Kiss the Ground” and the just-released “Common Ground.”
In this discussion, they will explore how they will safeguard our water, air, soil, and the natural world, and why protecting the environment is essential to protecting the health of Americans.
