A Wake County judge has denied an effort by the North Carolina Democratic Party that would have resulted in the removal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from the General Election ballot.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections voted in July to formally recognize the We the People Party.

The state democratic party sued the State Board of Elections arguing that RFK Jr. is really an independent candidate who should have gotten more signatures from voters. Instead, they argued Kennedy and his team created the We the People Party which required far fewer signatures.
