New Documentary Focuses on Arizona Border, Urging Democrats to Focus on Immigration

In June, Kennedy spent three days in Yuma, meeting with migrants, elected officials, law enforcement, and social service agencies. The result is a documentary "Midnight at the Border." Kennedy says the border crisis can be fixed, but it will require Democrats to think differently. "The Democratic Party is about kindness. It's about openness and humanitarian impulses toward people. The Other Populist in the Race

The American Conservative reports:Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has raised eyebrows as the first right-sympathetic populist to run as a Democrat since William Jennings Bryan. Launching with twenty paid staff and functioning now with seventy, Kennedy’s campaign has latched on to several issues important to mainstream Republicans—Covid tyranny, censorship, government surveillance—as well as to the dissident right: public health threats posed by chemicals in food and water, ending forever wars. The difference is the right frames these issues as matters of social cohesion and public order, while Kennedy uses the language of democracy and freedom. We meet at Pier 26 in Manhattan on the Hudson River, a body of water that has played a central role in Kennedy’s career as an environmental activist. He was named one of TIME magazine’s “Heroes of the Planet” in 1999 for his work as a prosecuting attorney for Riverkeeper, a Hudson River conservation group. He later founded the Waterkeeper Alliance as an umbrella organization for similar groups in other rivers, lakes, bays, and watersheds. When he resigned as its president in 2020, the Waterkeeper Alliance had hundreds of branches in dozens of countries. His environmentalism defies a neat ideological framing. Free market capitalism, he says, “is the core solution for every environmental problem, because a true free market promotes efficiency, efficiency means the elimination of waste, and pollution is waste.”Read the full interview here.If you resonate with this message please subscribe to our newsletter to learn more.

Kennedy Wants to Unite Nation as Father, Uncle Did

The Conway Daily Sun Reports: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. came to the Sun on Tuesday afternoon to explain his positions on Ukraine, climate change, childhood disease and other topics. While Kennedy, 69, is viewed as a long shot by many in the Democrat Party and even his own family, he believes he’s the right person at the right time to reunite the nation. Kennedy, a resident of Los Angeles, is the son of the late former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy, who recently turned 95 years old. He is also the nephew of late former President John F. Kennedy. During a 75-minute editorial board at the Sun, Kennedy, who was wrapping up four days of campaigning in the Granite State, shared his take on several issues: the need to restore his party’s identity; the effectiveness of vaccines; the war in Ukraine; and climate change. He also shared his insights on his uncle’s 1963 assassination and recalled the days following his father’s own 1968 assassination.

Kennedy Addresses Jewish Community to Discuss Fighting Antisemitism

On July 25 at 8 p.m. ET, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. joined Rabbi Shmuley of The World Values Network for its Presidential Candidate Series to discuss fighting antisemitism and championing Israel. The event was supposed to take place at the New York Society for Ethical Culture in New York, but the venue abruptly canceled the event with the vague explanation that it was “inconsistent with their values.” It is another example of the unsuccessful campaign to censor and silence Kennedy. Fortunately, a new location was found. The event took place at the Glasshouse. If you resonate with this message please subscribe to our newsletter to learn more.
