OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA—MAY 9, 2024—Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced today he is officially on the ballot in Oklahoma. The campaign filed its statement of candidacy and electors and paid the $35,000 fee to secure ballot access.
“I have lived in Oklahoma all my life,” said Kenyon Morgan, Kennedy campaign elector and volunteer. “I know the people of Oklahoma will welcome the opportunity to have an independent choice this fall. People are looking for a leader who will heal the divide, protect our constitutional rights, end the chronic disease epidemic, and restore the middle class.”
The Kennedy-Shanahan campaign has collected all the signatures needed for ballot access in 13 states, totaling 148 electoral votes, 28% of the 538 total electoral votes nationwide.
“Today, RFK Jr. was placed on the ballot in my home state of Oklahoma,” said campaign volunteer Tami Mitchell. “For me, it sparked a fire. This gives so many of us hope that the next president will be a voice for the people of our great country.”
The Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is officially on the ballot in five states — Utah, Michigan, California, Delaware, and now Oklahoma. The campaign has collected enough signatures for ballot access in eight other states — New Hampshire, Nevada, Hawaii, North Carolina, Idaho, Nebraska, Iowa, and Ohio.
The Kennedy campaign has launched a robust ballot access plan to ensure the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
“We have the field teams, volunteers, legal teams, paid circulators, supporters, and strategists ready to get the job done,” said Stefanie Spear, campaign press secretary. “We are exceeding all our ballot access benchmarks and will announce new states each week.”
On May 1, the Kennedy campaign released results from a Zogby poll showing Kennedy beats both Presidents Biden and Trump in head-to-head matchups. Trump defeats Biden handily. Kennedy beats President Trump in a two-way race, by a tight margin. In a two-way race between Kennedy and President Biden, Kennedy wins in a landslide. Kennedy is the first independent ever to defeat both major party candidates in head-to-head matchups.
