Kennedy Surpasses 1 Million Signatures, Completes Petitioning in 8 More States, Will Soon Be on Ballot in All 50 States + DC

LOS ANGELES, CA—JULY 31, 2024—At a Kennedy campaign press briefing today (watch recording here), Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced the campaign has collected more signatures than any presidential candidate in American history, collecting more than 1 million signatures.

“They forced us to bear this ballot access expense and organize a tremendous volunteer effort,” said Kennedy at today’s ballot access press briefing. “It’s turned out to be a huge advantage in the upcoming election, as we now have more than 100,000 volunteers ready to get the vote out and win this election.” 

The campaign also announced today it has collected all of the required signatures in eight more states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Massachusetts, Montana, North Dakota, Vermont, and Virginia. All signatures have been validated by the campaign’s independent ballot access validation firm, confirming Kennedy has more than enough signatures to achieve ballot access in each state.

Today’s achievements follow the campaign’s biggest turn-in ever just two days ago, when the campaign submitted its signatures in nine states including Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. 

“More than 50% of Americans now identify as Independents,” Independent Vice Presidential Candidate Nicole Shanahan said at today’s presser. “There has never been a better opportunity for a third-party candidate to have success, especially with a unity ticket. We are here to unite the country.”  

The Kennedy-Shanahan campaign has now collected the signatures needed for ballot access in 42 states, totaling 480 electoral votes, 89% of the 538 total electoral votes nationwide.

The Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is officially on the ballot in 13 statesCalifornia, Delaware, Hawaii, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah and now Alaska, Indiana, and Nebraska.

The campaign has submitted its signatures in 19 states Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.

It has collected enough signatures for ballot access in 10 states Florida, New Hampshire and now Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Massachusetts, Montana, North Dakota, Vermont, and Virginia.
