WASHINGTON, D.C.—AUGUST 9, 2024—The Kennedy campaign today announced the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is officially on the ballot in Texas. In May, the campaign submitted nearly 250,000 signatures in Texas to put Kennedy on the ballot, receiving more signatures than any other candidate in Texas history.
The campaign today also announced it submitted the required number of signatures to gain ballot access in the District of Columbia. The campaign submitted 19,000 signatures to the D.C. Board of Elections on Wednesday, more than four times the 4,573 required.
“It was an honor to help collect signatures to put Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the ballot,” said D.C. Volunteer Lead Bernadine Francis. “During the pandemic, I changed my political affiliation from Democrat to Independent. I’m grateful to have a candidate like Kennedy who will prioritize human and environmental health and unite our divided country.”
As the Kennedy campaign racks up ballot access victories nationwide — submitting two, three, and even four times the number of signatures required to qualify in each state — the DNC is pouring millions into a lawfare campaign against Kennedy, resorting to frivolous legal efforts to stop voters from electing him President.
The campaign has a perfect record of winning ballot access legal challenges, including in Hawaii, Idaho, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Utah.
The campaign’s historic ballot access operation has surpassed all its milestones to ensure the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The ballot access operation is fully funded with more than $15 million raised.
The Kennedy-Shanahan campaign has collected more signatures than any presidential candidate in American history, collecting more than 1 million signatures. The campaign has now collected the signatures needed for ballot access in 46 states, totaling 506 electoral votes, 94% of the 538 total electoral votes nationwide.
The Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is officially on the ballot in 17 states — Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Vermont.
The campaign has submitted its signatures in 23 states — Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and now Washington, D.C.
It has collected enough signatures for ballot access in 6 states — Alabama, Florida, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, and North Dakota.
