RFK Jr.-Aligned PAC Airs Surprise Ad During Super Bowl

The Epoch Times reports: Featuring a catchy jingle and nostalgic images that mirrored John F. Kennedy’s 1960 presidential campaign ad, a surprise 30-second spot funded by a super PAC aligned with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday night. American Values 2024 paid $7 million for the ad that ran nationally just before halftime of a game eventually won by the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime, according to the super PAC’s co-chairman Anthony Lyons. The original black-and-white spot from 1960 included the song that repeats “Kennedy” over and over in the chorus, along with lyrics that are accompanied by photographs of Mr. Kennedy and American citizens. The Super Bowl ad funded by American Values 2024 showcased the same song and a vintage appearance that features RFK Jr.’s photo in vintage form and the same “Kennedy for President” phrase. Google Trends showed that Internet searches for “RFK” soared after the spot was broadcast, with terms related to Mr. Kennedy receiving around 100 times more searches than average. RFK Jr. Continues Presidential Push, Campaigns In Michigan

WXYZ 7 (Detroit) reports: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made a campaign stop in Grand Rapids Saturday afternoon, as he continues his push to get on the ballot as an independent presidential candidate. “This is a job that requires a lot of complexity, a lot of nuance, a lot of very, very difficult decisions,” Kennedy said. The campaign event, held at St. Cecilia Music Center, drew hundreds of supporters. During his speech Saturday, Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and activist, cited rising rates of obesity, diabetes and autism since his uncle, John F. Kennedy, served as president in the 1960s. “We’re the sickest people on the face of the earth. We’re the sickest people in the history of the world from chronic disease,” RFK Jr. claimed. “Shouldn’t we be asking the question, ‘What’s causing it?’” Read the full article here. RFK Jr. Rallies In Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids Magazine reports: The line of people waiting outside St. Cecilia Music Center, 24 Ransom Ave. NE, in Grand Rapids, Michigan stretched all the way down the block. The hordes of people were there to attend Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 2024 presidential campaign rally. The 650-seat hall was filled. The rally started with a video that talked about healing our divided nation. A song called,“I Am A Real American,” with lyrics about fighting for the rights of every man was played to rev up the crowd. When it ended, the crowd started chanting: “Bobby, Bobby, Bobby.” A brief introduction was given by New York based musician Erik B (Louis Eric Barrier, half of the Hip Hop duo, Erik B & Rakim). When RFK Jr. came out, he announced that Erik B. was recently nominated to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Eric B talked said he woke up this morning in New Jersey, and then drove across the RFK Bridge (named for RFK Jr.’s father who was assassinated while serving as  U.S. Senator in 1968) to get to JFK Airport (named for RFJ Jr.’s uncle, President John F. Kennedy, also famously assassinated in 1963), and now is in Grand Rapids with his friend, RFK Jr. The pair had a brief conversation about gratitude and how important it is to be grateful, grateful for everything. Kennedy opened with some comments about recent polling data and said that he’s 20 points ahead in “favorability” with 70 percent of the public saying they don’t want the choice of the lesser of those two evils (referencing Biden and Trump). “They want to vote (for) somebody that inspires them that they like, and don’t you think we should give them that chance?” Kennedy asked the crowd. RFK Jr. on March To Get on the Ballot as an Independent

ABC News reports: Attendees of a Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. rally over the weekend in Las Vegas were met at the doors by people with clipboards soliciting signatures to get the independent presidential candidate on the Nevada ballot. As an independent candidate, which he became when he defected from the Democratic Party in October, Kennedy is not guaranteed a spot on any state's ballot, forcing volunteers to gather signatures from ordinary Americans on street corners and college campuses, among other public places -- and at Kennedy's own events. Kennedy could end the need for all the effort by re-joining a major political party, which would earn him a place on every state's ballot. He fueled speculation about a potential partnership with the Libertarian Party when he told CNN last week that he and the officials from the Party "are talking." But even as they court Libertarians, Kennedy and his campaign see value in getting on the ballot the hard way. "Over the long term…it's going to put us in better shape," he told ABC News after the Las Vegas rally, where he spoke for roughly 35 minutes in front of a couple hundred supporters. "As soon as we complete ballot access efforts in each state, we turn that ground game to get out the vote." Read the full article here. Why RFK Jr. Is Suddenly Everywhere Online

WIRED reports: For a man who claims to be written-off and censored by the mainstream media, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s campaign for president has thrived online. In recent months, Kennedy has suddenly been everywhere. “He is the podcast candidate,” says Mike Rothschild, an author who writes about conspiracy theories. “Vivek Ramaswamy was someone in the GOP who had some of that, but RFK Jr. is the podcast, Substack, terminally online candidate.” In short, the internet has become Kennedy’s campaign headquarters, where likes and shares have replaced the retail politics of more traditional opponents like President Joe Biden. And Kennedy’s digital determination may well make a big difference: According to some experts, he could disrupt the 2024 election. The support Kennedy has received from mega-famous celebrities and billionaires has become one of the campaign’s most powerful marketing strategies, but it’s not the only way they’ve worked to reach voters: The American Values 2024 PAC has started blasting the candidate’s message through networks of influencers with far smaller followings than Rogan or Clapton. “The reason why campaigns use these micro and nano influencers a lot of the time is because those people are seen to have more authentic relationships with particular demographics,” Woolley told WIRED. “The influencers are seen as a natural conduit to those spaces.” Read the full article here. RFK Jr. Visits Cochise County Arizona To Learn About Border Concerns

KGUN 9 reports: Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was in Cochise County on Tuesday to see and hear what impact the increased activity at the southern border is having on communities. Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels hosted the visit that included a roundtable discussion with community leaders and law enforcement and a trip to the border. The sheriff said it's important for people to see what is happening in the area because smuggling continues on a daily basis. “This goes on everyday. Sadly somewhere in the county we’re addressing smuggling,” Dannels said. "But we’re doing everything we can to bring attention to it while D.C. worries about being reelected.” "I'm an advocate for wide gates for people who come here legally, but we shouldn't be letting anybody in here illegally," Kennedy said. RFK Jr. Courts Las Vegas Voters as Alternative to Trump vs. Biden

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports: Independent presidential candidate and former Democrat Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. delivered a wide-ranging campaign speech to Las Vegas Valley supporters Sunday at Area 15. Kennedy, who is trying to position himself as a viable alternative to a Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden rematch, focused the first part of his speech on America’s health crisis and the purported link between Big Pharma and many of the government’s federal institutions. He claims Americans have been lied to by corporate interests and lobbyists who are intent on treating medical conditions for profit rather than promoting health and wellness. “Why are we not asking the next question,” he said to around 500 supporters about why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is allegedly not focusing its efforts on Americans’ health, which has been declining at an exponential rate for decades. “Why are we the sickest people on Earth?” Read the full article here.
