RFK Jr. Draws Biden and Trump Voters in Battleground Arizona

The Associated Press reports: Some voted for Donald Trump, others for Joe Biden. A few had never wanted anything to do with politics before they heard Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on a podcast or YouTube video. Lined up outside a Phoenix wedding hall tucked between a freeway, a railroad track and a U-Haul rental center, the hundreds of people who turned out Wednesday to hear Kennedy speak shared little in common ideologically. What united them was a deep-seated distrust — of the media, of corporations and especially of the government — and a belief that Kennedy is the only person in politics willing to tell them the truth. “I like that he talks to us like adults,” said Gilbert Limon, a 48-year-old pharmacist from Phoenix. “He tells you the majority of what you need to know. Whereas I feel like (other politicians) just give you bits and pieces to try to fit their agenda. I’ve had enough of that.” Voters are not enthusiastic about a Biden-Trump rematch, and alternatives like Kennedy or the No Labels third-party movement, which would typically be longshots, see an opening. Kennedy’s appearance in a 2024 battleground state highlights how he could influence the election in ways that are tough to predict. Allies of both Trump and Biden have expressed concerns that Kennedy’s independent bid could pull votes from their candidate in next year’s expected general election rematch. Kennedy made the stop in Phoenix as part of his laborious push to get access to the 2024 presidential ballot as an independent candidate, which he figures will require him to collect at least a million signatures across the country. Aides mingled in the crowd, filling up his petitions to qualify in Arizona. Read the full article here. If you resonate with this message please subscribe to our newsletter to learn more.

How RFK Jr. Is Relying on Volunteers To Get on South Carolina’s Ballot

The State reports: On Thanksgiving, Sam Sipe brought up a topic that usually is a no-no for dinner during gatherings on the fourth Thursday of November. She brought up politics. Specifically, she made her pitch to a handful of friends and family members to sign a petition to help get Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on South Carolina’s 2024 presidential ballot. “When you talk about Kennedy and explain Kennedy’s positions to people, they’re much more likely to at least want to give Kennedy a chance,” Sipe said. “This is what this is about. We’re kind of saying, let’s give someone else a chance rather than the duopoly. You’re not throwing away your primary vote (by giving) a signature to put him on the ballot. You’re just giving someone a chance.” Sipe is part of a group of volunteers in South Carolina working to gather the necessary 10,000 valid and active voter signatures for Kennedy to secure a spot on the state’s 2024 presidential ballot. Gathering the signatures is a daunting task, and the Kennedy campaign — which has polled at 22% in national surveys of a three-candidate race — is relying solely on the work of volunteers, not paid canvassers. “We’re building an army. And you know, we’re gonna get on the ballot,” Kennedy told reporters last month. “We’re gonna use volunteers to get on the ballot, and then we’re gonna have an army in place in November, like no other campaign. We’re gonna have a lot of people that are highly motivated on the ground.” Kennedy has said he is confident he’ll be on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. RFK Jr. Denied Secret Service Protection For Third Time

Deseret reports: Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s third request for Secret Service protection has been denied, according to a letter obtained by the Deseret News. The letter, signed by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, says that USSS protection for Kennedy is “not warranted.” The letter’s veracity was confirmed Friday night by the Kennedy campaign. Kennedy has submitted three requests for Secret Service protection since launching his campaign in April, each with the same result.  Federal law authorizes Secret Service protection for “major” presidential and vice presidential candidates. The DHS secretary is given authority to determine who qualifies as a “major” candidate, in consultation with the top congressional leaders in the House and Senate.  Read the full article here. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Holds Rally in Phoenix

12News KPNX reports: Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democrat-turned-independent presidential candidate, held a campaign rally in Phoenix Wednesday night. He spoke to hundreds of voters at the Legends Event Center near 43rd Avenue and Camelback. Some voters there said they're not satisfied with President Biden or former President Trump and want an alternative choice. "I'm always looking for a left-of-center, intelligent candidate and he seems to be that," said Mariee Hayden of Phoenix. “Always pro-choice, but I'm interested to learn what he has to offer in general." Lisette Valenzuela of Phoenix said she doesn't align with the Democrat or Republican parties. “I'm tired of having to choose between the lesser of two evils," Valenzuela said. Kennedy believes he can win Arizona's independent voting bloc. “They like the message to end the vitriol, to end the poison and the polarization and to start focusing on the values that we have in common," Kennedy said. Kennedy is currently collecting signatures, vying for a spot on Arizona's ballot. He needs signatures from three percent of Arizona's registered voters by August of 2024. Read the full article here. Why So Many Young Americans Support My Presidential Campaign

Featured on Newsweek: As I travel across the country campaigning for president, I talk at every stop to young Americans who enthusiastically support my candidacy. According to a recent Quinnipiac poll, I am leading in a three-way with President Biden and former President Trump among voters 18 to 34, and a New York Times/Siena poll shows me beating Biden and Trump among 18 to 44 year olds in six key battleground states. Mainstream media often ask me why I enjoy such strong support from young voters. Based on countless campaign trail conversations, I believe America's youth support me because I am offering them something that has been nearly lost over the last two presidential terms: hope for an America that lives up to its promises and ideals. Sadly, young Americans see little hope in the two major parties or their likely nominees. During Biden and Trump's presidencies, an entire generation of American kids has become disillusioned. A June Gallup poll showed that only 18 percent of voters 18 to 34 are "extremely proud" to be American. And a plurality of 18 to 29 year olds recently polled by Harvard trust neither Biden nor Trump on the most important political issues. Young people are not satisfied with voting for the lesser of two evils. Their generation seeks an outsider like me who is running as an independent, given that 38 percent of the youngest voters aged 18 to 29 have no party affiliation, a higher percentage than identify as Democrats (35 percent) or Republicans (26 percent). Because they are repelled by the rancor and name-calling in two-party politics, they respond positively to my mission to "Heal the Divide." Moreover, my message resonates because I show this generation a viable path toward restoring hope in America, so that they can be proud of their country and believe in their future. Read Robert F. "Not a Real Democracy": RFK Jr. Blasts Colorado Supreme Court Decision

The Epoch Times reports: Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has sharply criticized the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to block former President Donald Trump from the state's ballot as contrary to democratic norms and values. "Trump blocked from the ballot in Colorado. When a court in another country disqualifies an opposition candidate from running, we say, 'That's not a real democracy.' Now it's happening here," he said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. His remarks came as the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that President Trump is ineligible to appear on the state's primary ballot for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 incident. The 4–3 decision hinged on two key premises. One is that the U.S. President is a public "officer" in the understanding of the law and that President Trump supposedly engaged in an "insurrection." In his critique of the decision, Mr. Kennedy Jr. clarified that he's not a Trump supporter and that's why he's running against him—but that he doesn't want to win on the back of legal maneuvers. "I want to beat him in a fair election, not because he was kicked off the ballot. Let the voters choose, not the courts!" he said. Read the full article here. RFK Jr. Issues Stark Warning After Colorado Court Blocks Trump From Ballot

Fox News reports: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who is running as an independent for president in 2024, issued a warning after Colorado’s Supreme Court blocked former President Donald Trump from the ballot because of his involvement in the attack on the Capitol in January 2021. "If Trump is kept out of office through judicial fiat rather than being defeated in a fair election, his supporters will never accept the result. This country will become ungovernable," Kennedy, who initially launched a Democratic primary challenge to President Biden in April before switching to an independent 2024 bid in October, wrote on X. "It’s time to trust the voters. It is up to the people to decide who the best candidate is. Not the courts. The people. That’s Democracy 101," Kennedy said. "When any candidate is deprived of his right to run, the American people are deprived of their right to choose." Calling for a swift reversal, Kennedy said the 4-3 Colorado decision deeming Trump ineligible for the White House under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause "contributes to the perception that the elites are picking the President by manipulating the legal system, and through other interventions." Gen Z Has Had Enough of Politics. Does RFK Jr. Have the Answer?

The Independent reports: When Robert F Kennedy, Jr. announced in April he was running against Joe Biden in the Democratic primary, Mr Culotta was drawn to the famous political scion’s promise of upending Washington DC’s tribal politics and reluctantly rejoined the party. Now an unofficial surrogate for RFK Jr’s independent campaign, the 22-year-old University of Vermont political science student told The Independent that he had always felt a “gut level pull” towards a third-party alternative. “People my age are fed up,” Mr Culotta said. “We’re completely disillusioned with the two-party system.” The 18-29-year-old demographic has historically been exercised to turn out by issues like foreign wars, climate change, threats to women’s reproductive rights, LGBT+ equality and police brutality. But after 30-year high inflation and a federal minimum wage anchored at $7.25 per hour, many among Gen Z are feeling the pinch of financial hardship. NYU student Olivia Archard, 20, told The Independent she senses a shift towards Gen Z prioritising their own personal finances out of grim necessity. Link Lauren, a 25-year-old TikTok influencer who has interviewed several 2024 candidates, agrees that the next election will be all about the economy. “The number one issue for young people is money, money, money,” he told The Independent in an interview. “We love mother nature, but we also have to eat,” he said, citing the skyrocketing cost of rent, food and other essentials as top of mind. RFK Jr. Chastises US Defense Contractors' Meeting with Zelenskyy

The Epoch Times reports: Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. this week reiterated his objection to U.S. involvement in the Russia–Ukraine war, criticizing American defense contractors who met with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington. “I was surprised that they did it so openly," Mr. Kennedy told The Epoch Times after a Dec. 13 voter rally in Kansas City. "The optics of it are very, very bad. The grift is right in our faces. No one bothers to conceal who the real stakeholders are in the Ukraine war.” During the rally, Mr. Kennedy told supporters that the conflict is “a proxy war between the U.S. and Russia” and U.S. funding of Ukraine is a “money-laundering scheme” that takes wealth out of taxpayer pockets and puts it “into the coffers” of companies like Boeing, Raytheon, and Lockheed-Martin. Since announcing his candidacy in April to challenge President Biden, the Democrat-turned-Independent candidate has called for peace negotiations to end the war in Ukraine and has repeatedly chastised the Biden administration for continuing to fund Ukraine. He says he's sympathetic to the Ukrainian cause and that Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded the country illegally, but he has chastised the United States for its role in the conflict. Kansas City Voters Turn Out Wednesday Night To Hear From RFK Jr.

KSHB 41 reports: More than 400 people turned out Wednesday night at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Missouri, to listen to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who’s making his case for a spot on the presidential ballot as an independent candidate. KSHB 41 talked with people from across the Kansas City area who were ready to hear Kennedy's take on the issues. “We need to go with our heart and who we feel is listening to the people, and listening to us and what we have to say,” Elisa Cantu said. Karen Quertermous, who attended Kennedy's rally, said she was impressed by what he told the crowd. “He stood up for what’s right and that’s so refreshing," Quertermous said. Kennedy made clear he’s working to secure 10,000 signatures in Missouri to be eligible for a spot on the ballot, and is working across the country to gather hundreds of thousands signatures to earn a spot on as many state ballots as possible. “I’m going to do an experiment of telling the truth, even when you’re running for political office,” Kennedy said from the stage at the Uptown Theater. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Campaigns in Kansas City

Fox 4 Kansas City reports: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is making a push to be on the presidential ballot. The presidential hopeful appeared at Kansas City’s Uptown Theater Wednesday for a campaign rally. He’s the son of former New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy. At the hour long rally he campaigned for securing America’s border, tackling chronic disease and inflation that’s led to credit card debt. He also addressed changes he’s seen in America since his father and his uncle were assassinated in the 1960s. Kennedy will need roughly 1.5 million signatures nationwide to get on the ballot in all 50 states. 10,000 signatures are needed in Missouri. Even his supporters wonder how could he impact the election if successful. “That’s a very good question because he’s going to draw people from both sides,” Tom Abeln said. Read the full article here.
