RFK Jr. Says Father Would Be Proud of His Campaign

The Hill reports:   Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said during a wide-ranging interview that his father, the late Robert F. Kennedy, would be proud of his 2024 campaign. Kennedy said his father would “strongly support” him and his White House run.  “I can’t think of a single issue that my dad felt strongly about that, you know, I wouldn’t check the same box,” he said in his interview with USA Today published Monday, like fighting corruption, reining in government power, saving the environment and ending wars.  Kennedy said he has a firm grasp on the policy positions of his father, who was killed in 1968.  “Americans are entitled to have their own version of who my father and my uncle, of what they would do on certain issues,” said Kennedy, who was 14 when the assassination took place.  “And I enjoy hearing those debates all the time,” he added. “I think I have a really clear understanding of where he came down on issues. And I’m very grateful that I believe I share his beliefs. And I share his values. And, you know, I’ve tried to live my life with the same kind of commitment to the same values.” Read the full article here. Advocacy Group Finds One-Fifth of Latino Voters Leaning Towards Third-Party Presidential Candidates

NPR reports:   Advocacy group Voto Latino said their largest 2024 election year poll found a projected one-fifth of Latino voters would prefer a third-party candidate over President Biden and former President Trump. The poll of 2,000 likely Latino voters, conducted by Democratic polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, shows support for Biden falls dramatically when voters are offered a third option in addition to former President Trump. The poll also found that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s support is stronger among younger, more progressive Latino voters, Kumar said. Specifically, the poll found that Latino women ages 18 to 39 and those without college education register higher support for Kennedy and other third-party candidates. Read the full article here. RFK Jr. Pledges to End 'Provocative' China Policies

Politico reports:   Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is rolling out policy positions aimed to lure undecided and independent voters from Trump and Biden. Here are the highlights of Kennedy’s China policy positions shared with China Watcher by his campaign. No to “hot war.” Kennedy will abandon the Biden and Trump administrations’ “provocative policies” in order to stabilize U.S.-China ties. “China does not want a hot war … [Kennedy] will negotiate sensible and verifiable arms reduction treaties starting with matters of urgent mutual interest such as reducing the risks of bioweapons and AI weapons.” It’s the economy, comrades. Rather than facing down Beijing in the Indo-Pacific through alliances such as AUKUS, the Quad and U.S.-Japan-South Korea trilateral, Kennedy will “shift the competition to the economic realm” while avoiding decoupling. That can end the dynamic of the U.S. “making enemies throughout the world by projecting military power even as China makes friends through its economic power.” Read the full article here. Map Shows States Where RFK Jr. Is On the Ballot

Newsweek reports:   Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced his campaign in April 2023, and selected Silicon Valley attorney Nicole Shanahan as his running mate in March this year. His campaign has been critical of both Donald Trump and Joe Biden, with a heavy focus on appealing to disillusioned independent voters. Kennedy has repeatedly claimed he will contest the election nationally, and his campaign says it has a dedicated public plan to getting ballot access across the country. Currently, Kennedy is on the ballot in 18 states, including those with large Electoral College votes, such as California, Texas, and New York. If he were to win every state he is currently on the ballot for, he would take only 238 Electoral College votes, still below the 270 needed to win. There is also a heavy focus on engaging local volunteers to help Kennedy get on the ballot, particularly with regards to gathering signatures. The Kennedy campaign website says that: "The establishment candidates cruise to ballot access while forcing independents like us to gather more than 1 million signatures. But their rigged system is no match for our surging populist movement." Kennedy has recently announced that he will be suing the state of Nevada for allegedly trying to invalidate signatures the campaign needed to get on the ballot in the state. Kennedy Calls for Secret Service Detail on Anniversary of Father’s Killing

The New York Times reports:   On the 56th anniversary of his father’s assassination, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate, again pleaded on Wednesday to be granted Secret Service protection, arguing in an interview on Fox News that he was at an elevated risk of being targeted because of his family history “I was with my dad when he died in Los Angeles in 1968,” said Mr.Kennedy, who was 14 at the time of the shooting. He then asserted that the White House “is involved in this decision” to deny his requests for Secret Service protection and argued that his campaign was significant enough to deserve that protection. Mr. Kennedy has made requests for Secret Service protection for more than a year, predating his independent candidacy. Last July, when he was still running against President Biden in theDemocratic primaries, he said a request for a Secret Service detail had been denied by Alejandro Mayorkas, the homeland security secretary, who has the authority to approve those requests. Mr. Kennedy has since repeatedly made the request, circulating an online petition in support of it, and has been denied each time. In his interview on Wednesday, Mr. Kennedy pointed to several incidents that demonstrated his need for additional security, including break-ins at his home in California and an episode inSeptember in which an armed man was arrested at a campaign event and charged with gun crimes after he tried to meet Mr.Kennedy. RFK Jr. Sues Nevada’s Top Election Official Over Ballot Access As He Scrambles to Join Debate Stage

AP reports:   Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign filed a lawsuit Friday against Nevada’s top election official, alleging a requirement that independent candidates must name their running mate by the time they start gathering signatures for ballot access is unconstitutional. The filing in the U.S. District Court of Nevada comes just over two months after Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar’s office clarified guidance that would likely nullify signatures that Kennedy Jr’s campaign collected for November’s ballot due to the petition not listing a running mate. Kennedy Jr’s campaign said in the lawsuit that they received approval in January from Aguilar’s office allowing them to collect the required 10,095 signatures for a petition that did not list his vice presidential selection. The requirement to name a running mate on the petition, the campaign alleges, violates the 1st Amendment and the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. “The court must prohibit what was either rank incompetence or partisan political gamesmanship by the Secretary from invalidating petition signatures afforded the highest First Amendment protection by the United States Supreme Court,” said Paul Rossi, the campaign’s senior counsel, in a Monday statement. Kennedy Jr. picked California lawyer and philanthropist Nicole Shanahan as his running mate in late March, a few weeks after he submitted the petition. Read the full article here. RFK Jr. Scrambles To Make Debate Stage With Biden And Trump

The Hill reports:   Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is using every tool at his disposal to get to the first debate with President Biden and former President Trump, though he faces a rocky path to qualify before June 27. Kennedy has filed a complaint against the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and is barreling forward with his ballot access campaign, which could help him meet one of the necessary thresholds to make the stage. But he has other hurdles ahead of him, including meeting the steep polling requirements set by CNN.  The cable network has laid out goalposts requiring contenders to get 15 percent of support in four national polls and appear as declared candidates in enough places to total 270 electoral votes, the minimum number needed to win the presidency.  On Wednesday, Kennedy filed a complaint with the FEC and against Biden’s and Trump’s campaigns — a sign that he’s starting to hedge his bets in case he comes up short. The complaint alleges that he is not being offered the same opportunity to debate and that the stated requirements breach existing election rules. He has pointed out that the Democratic and Republican nominees have not yet technically met the ballot benchmarks either.  “By demanding our campaign meet different criteria to participate in the debate than Presidents Biden and Trump, CNN’s debate violates FEC law and is a large prohibited corporate contribution to both the Biden and Trump campaigns,” Kennedy wrote. The campaign predicts Kennedy-Shanahan will be on the ballot in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia well before early voting starts throughout the USA. RFK Jr. is THE Choice

Tucson.com reports:   A letter in Saturday’s STAR that listed a number of the DNC’s untruths and propaganda about RFK JR compelled me to write this letter. The two parties are so afraid of RFK JR because of his truth-telling they are spouting these incendiary statements, such as those in that Saturday letter, to deter everyone else from even checking out RFK Jr’s website, Kennedy24.com, or listening to his amazing podcasts. A cursory investigation into these sources will inform you that RFK JR is telling truth to power, is not supported by corporate sponsors, is being censored by the mainstream media and is focused intently on saving our republic from tyranny and addressing the major problems the two parties are ignoring: debt, health and government lies. His hundreds of successful lawsuits against the three letter agencies and his tireless environmental activism should be enough to gain your support but there is so much more. Bobby is my choice.
