Former President Donald Trump did call and speak to independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. following the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump’s life, but no deal to join forces was made between the pair, Kennedy told “CUOMO” exclusively.
The clarification comes after The Washington Post reported Kennedy had floated the idea of joining the GOP nominee’s team rather than staying in the race himself.
“Is it true that you offered, in a phone call with Trump, to get out of the race in exchange for a job in the administration?” host Chris Cuomo asked.
“No, that is not true,” Kennedy replied.
